McCain in Nashua June 12; Protest Planned

John McCain will host a Town Hall meeting on Thursday, June 12th at Daniel Webster College Gymnasium. The doors will open at 12:30pm.

To RSVP for the event, email newhampshire (at) johnmccain.com. No confirmation nor reply from campaign staff is needed to attend the event.

AFSC plans to be outside the event with our “Cost of War” banners. We are looking for 5 – 10 volunteers to join us. If you can help, please e-mail Erin Placey at eplacey (at) afsc.org.
If you are inside the event and manage to get called upon during the Town Meeting, here’s some questions you might ask:

1. The Iraq war costs us hundreds of millions of dollars every day. That would amount to more than a trillion dollars over the four years of your presidential term if you get elected. How do you intend to pay for it? And don’t you think our economy would be better off if we get out of Iraq sooner?

2. The Bush Administration’s threats to use military force against Iran are provocative and destabilizing. What steps do you favor to put our two countries on the path to conflict resolution instead of another ill-conceived war?

3. In the speech you gave on nuclear security on May 27 in Denver, you said you supported Ronald Reagan’s dream of “banishing nuclear weapons from the face of the earth.” You also said we should work with the other nuclear states to fulfill our obligations under the Non-Proliferation Treaty for nuclear reductions. In fact, the Treaty is consistent with Ronald Reagan’s dream. It calls for reductions and total elimination of nuclear weapons worldwide. What prudent and pragmatic steps will you take to achieve this legal obligation?

So how'd the protest go? Inquiring minds wanna know!

Perhaps the police rounded everyone up.

And no one could return to report it. You heard it here first!

Poll

Now that the Democratic race has finally jumped the shark, who are you voting for?
John McCain
Barack Obama
Bob Barr
GOOGLE RON PAUL
Vermin Supreme
If voting could change anything, it would be illegal.

Quote-of-the-Moment

I say we take the oil. I don't think people realize the super-crisis mode the North Country is in. When you talk about the cost of fuel oil and how it hits a family, our average family income is half what it is down in southern New Hampshire.
-- Republican Sen. John Gallus on 'controversy' of accepting oil assistance for low income people from Citgo and the socialist government of Venezuela.
