Let's do the math...

There are 1.2 million people in New Hampshire according to the 2000 Census. The daily cost of the war is $2.9 million per day. That works out to $2.40 per person, per day.

The war started on March 20, 2003. There have been 1,650 days since the start of the war. That means each resident of New Hampshire, as of today, has spent about $4,000 on the war.

No point, really... just wanted to do the math.

Quote-of-the-Moment

I say we take the oil. I don't think people realize the super-crisis mode the North Country is in. When you talk about the cost of fuel oil and how it hits a family, our average family income is half what it is down in southern New Hampshire.
-- Republican Sen. John Gallus on 'controversy' of accepting oil assistance for low income people from Citgo and the socialist government of Venezuela.
