Re: Final settlements in landline sale to FairPoint yield $362 million in new commitments from Verizon

Those who think this is against the good of public interest may know more than myself. However from my experiences with Verizon having a disconnect date for my service and then after I vacated the residence Verizon left my service connected for over 5 additional months to accumulate a debt of an additional $400.00 and refused my dispute marking my credit horribly. I say let Verizon go and have the door hit them on the way out. My credit is still marked to this day because I refuse to pay for 5 months of service after a disconnect date but being a corp. entity Verizon has already sold my debt once and that sort of behavior will continue I'm sure to permanently mark my credit. I say cheers and Boycott Verizon

Quote-of-the-Moment

I say we take the oil. I don't think people realize the super-crisis mode the North Country is in. When you talk about the cost of fuel oil and how it hits a family, our average family income is half what it is down in southern New Hampshire.
-- Republican Sen. John Gallus on 'controversy' of accepting oil assistance for low income people from Citgo and the socialist government of Venezuela.
